Ruck to Remember – Honoring Our Heroes, Supporting Our Vets Join us this Memorial Day weekend for Ruck to Remember, a 3.5-mile ruck march hosted by Rebellion Kettlebell Gym and Riverlands Brewing Co. This event is dedicated to honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom—and raising funds to support those who served. Each year we partner with a veteran charity and all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated. What to Expect: A 3.5-mile ruck march to the beautiful Fox River and through downtown St. Charles. Choose your own weight — whether it's a light daypack or something heavier, this event is not hardcore; it's about community, remembrance, and support. All fitness levels welcome! Start and finish at Riverlands Brewing Co. — stick around afterward for brews, food, and great conversation. Bring: a backpack (aka your “ruck”), comfortable walking shoes, and your support for our veterans. Rain or shine, we walk together. Whether you're a seasoned rucker or joining for the first time, this is a meaningful way to move with purpose, reflect, and give back. Included in ticket price: A commemorative t-shirt and one free pour at Riverlands!

The St. Charles History Museum is currently displaying Salon De St. Charles, a temporary exhibit through June 20 that showcases the artwork and artists of St. Charles in a layout reminiscent of the French Salons of the past. This exhibit features works of renowned local artists including William Luckett and Lester Norris and a print of an oil portrait depicting John Farnsworth, Civil War general and congressman from St. Charles. The Farnsworth portrait is currently in the care of Baumgartner Fine Art Restoration and we are holding a fundraiser for it to be restored to its original glory. This exhibit tells the story of St. Charles through art. Many of these works are from local artists and private family collections and have not been displayed anywhere else. Residents of St. Charles get the unique opportunity to witness their own hometown and history within the artwork displayed.
